“My heart is moved with pity for the crowd, for they have been with me now for three days and have nothing to eat. “ ( Mt 15:32 )
His heart was moved with pity,
they had nothing good to eat;
no juicy food, no pure, choice wine, no richly furnished feast.
He would not send the crowds away for fear that they may fall.
How many loaves could they collect to feed them one and all?
He took the meager loaves and fish,
and these He multiplied.
He bade them sit and rest awhile,
and all were satisfied.
He sees us in our desert place,
and longs to feed us still;
His heart is moved with pity;
He will not stop until...
We look to Him to save us,
to refresh our weary souls
with mercy streaming from His heart,
and love that overflows.
