This is Jesus...

Have you ever found yourself at a complete loss for words?
There are times I'm so completely in awe, so overwhelmed by love, that words fail and tears flow. It happens when I receive the Eucharist at Mass. And suddenly, I'm transported to the mountain, and I can't believe my good fortune to be counted with Jesus's closest disciples, Peter, James and John; and Jesus is Transfigured right before my eyes. I'm echoing Peter's sentiments, "Rabbi, it is good that we are here!" I want to pitch a tent, and stay in that holy space of communion-just me and Jesus. But, this is not meant just for me! No need to pitch a tent, because I'm meant to be the tent, a living tabernacle, carrying Jesus with me everywhere I go. I remember His sacrifice for us on the cross; and I thank Him for His gift of love on the altar. Then I come back down that mountain, and ask Him to stay with me; to go with me and help me to grow in holiness.
"This is my beloved Son. Listen to him." (Mk 9:7)
